Olarn CHIARAVANONT
Olarn Chiaravanont’s abstract paintings are populated by a recurring variety of forms, which float on light and spacious backgrounds. For the artist, painting is the contrasting act of letting the wrist move freely on the canvas and the compulsion to make a conscious conceptual decision. Olarn Chiaravanont not only leaves room for mistakes, he presupposes them – because each painting leaves something open to the artist, it provides the impetus to create the next work.
