Catherine FRANÇOIS

Catherine François was born in Belgium in 1963. She followed a classical university education and then turned to Fine Arts and Sculpture.

For the past 20 years, she has devoted herself to sculpture and has exhibited works in Brussels, Knokke, Paris and Geneva.

In 2007, the David and Alice Van Buuren Museum in Brussels invited her to its first retrospective exhibition, which was a great success. She was invited again in 2012.

Inspired by nature, Catherine François’ works tend towards abstraction while remaining strong, organic, familiar and sensual. Her sculptures convey the infinity of movement, whether the energies are balanced or not… in short… like life itself.
