Château de Bousval
A countryman’s dream come true
The history of the Château de Bousval vineyard was born from the dialogue between Michel Verhaeghe de Naeyer, a nature lover, and his abandoned Walloon fields.
Michel’s peasant soul was driven by the desire to revive this unproductive soil and pass it on to new generations.
Here, no inherited wine, but a wine in the making, the result of the meeting of the young vine with the Belgian sun, the fauna, the varied flora and the micro-organisms of the Bousval soil.
The main ambition is to respect the soil:
“To make a quality wine in a quality environment, which can be not a Burgundy wine, not an Alsatian or Austrian wine, but A WINE FROM THE TERROIR OF BOUSVAL”.
