Following two years of peace and quiet, it’s time for the first major works, led by the marvellous Yves Hérody. We have transported 5,000 tonnes of limestone and laid 2,500 metres of 2.50 metre-deep drains to manage the hydrology of the future vines and to prevent their feet from becoming waterlogged. A ditch dug previously protects against erosion and stray rainwater from neighbouring land.
